I am officially all packed up for my weekend scrapping retreat with some far away friends. We only see each other once or twice a year, but we stay close by internet and facebook. I used each and every one of the "crop in style" bags I bought years ago from Tuesday Morning. I used each bag to pack a different category of scrappy goodness. I have one bag with patterned paper and cardstock, one with photos and embellishments, one with tools, and one with lotions and potions as well as two CTMH containers with ink and stamps in them. I have been so busy packing I have not done much scrapping lately but I will have lots to show you when I return.
The new card kit for June is American Crafts Mayberry Collection.
The cards I made from the kit are pictured below.
On this one I just made punched border edges from three of the pp and layered them on the blue cardstock base 5.5 x 4 inches. The cherry embellishment is from the kit and the stamped image is also from the kit.
On this one I made the banner by punching out the shapes I wanted then attach them to a piece of white cardstock then trimming the white cardstock close to the edges of the banner pieces.
The flower embellishment is from the kit and I used the Signo white pen which is also in the kit for the faux stitching and printing the sentiment.
It is our monthly card kit reveal time. Scrapbook Blessings Club is joining up with Scrapping For Less, and we are bringing you affordable Mini CARD KITS!!! For June, we are featuring Mayberry from American Crafts
It is perfect for all levels of scrapbookers! So whether you are a newbie or an experience scrapper, these kits has everything you'll need to create fast and easy projects. All you need to do is get out your scissors, paper trimmer and adhesive.
Why card kits? A couple reasons, one is getting fabulous papers and embellishments from popular Scrapbooking Companies, without buy a ton that you never use and letting it all just sit in the drawer.
The second is cost. I am a frugal scrapbooker and affordability is always high on my list. It is not always easy to spend $30- $50 on a kit. Our kits will be $15.00 which INCLUDES shipping!
And lastly is convenience, with these kits, there is no guess work in getting papers to coordinate along with embellishments and fabrics, etc.
Who doesn't love fun and affordable--papers, flowers, chalk inks, brads, chalkboard, stamps, buttons.. more!! Every month you get something a little different!
I really enjoyed using this sketch. I used gesso and mists and stencils to make the background. The black cameras across the top is washi tape. The film frames and the small black camera are CTMH stamps.
Hope you enjoy. Comments are always appreciated. Till next time.
I finished my last Thanksgiving LO from 2013 finally. I used the Bo Bunny Apple Cider collection. The layout is based on a page maps sketch. Hope this inspires you to get your holiday scrapbooking done, because you know. new holidays are so close now.
I hope you find some inspiration here. Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated.
I made this from my Frosted Designs kit, gesso, Tim Holtz stencil, Heidi Swapp gold mist, Lindy's stamp gang brown mist, and a circle and puddle stencil. First I laid down a layer of gesso. Then I used Heidi Swapp mist on the tim holtz stencil on the top half. Then I turned the stencil over to use the mist on the front of the stencil for the bottom half. Then I used the Lindy's mist and applied it with a sponge through the circle and puddle stencil. I used a CTMH stamp on top of the xoxo tag for the chevron look. I used a signo white pen to make the marks on the bottom of the xoxo tag. It is based on a sketch from Scrap Our Stash which you can find here: http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/.
Thanks for looking. Comments are always appreciated. Till next time, Barbara.
Here is my 4th Layout with the Frosted designs May kit. And I still have more to use!
This is my dear son at 3 years old. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and copper Irresistables. I sprayed the copper spray on a paper plate and daubed a sponge in it to daub on the stencil. Then I daubed some of the spray on a background stamp on the upper right corner and to the left of the bottom of the photo.
I used gesso on the paper before I used the stencil.
This is the card I did for the challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club this week.
It involves heat embossing with white or clear embossing powder of a stamped image and then putting ink over it. Then you wipe the ink off of the embossed images.
Remember it is never too early to start your card stash for Christmas!
I used the May Frosted Designs kit and some Hazel and Ruby washi tape that I won from my LSS The Little Blue House for this LO of DD in the wildflowers. you can find frosted designs FB page here:https://www.facebook.com/groups/134989116525706/

Here is my first LO for the May Frosted Designs Kit Challenge. I used the Hazel and Ruby masks I won from The Little Blue House, my local scrapbook store. We are the A,B,C family as our first names start with these letters. That was the inspiration for this layout. Thanks for looking. You can find the Frosted Designs blog here:http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/2014/05/mays-simply-sweet-kit-challenge.html.
I discovered a new challenge blog today just looking around. It is called the Scrapbook Challenge blog and you can find them here: http://scrapbookchallenges.com/. This is the first LO I did for one of their april sketch challenges.
This LO is for the Frosted Designs transparency challenge. You can find them here:http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/. The transparency is over the photo. It has a gold frame and a little blue stain in the corners.
Thanks for having this challenge Frosted Designs. Thanks for looking and leaving comments.
I reviewed Viva's 3D Stamp Paint on the Scrapbook Blessings Club blog today. On this finished project I used it with a stencil to make the border and I mixed some with a bit of water and used it as a mist to get the light blue tint on the white cardstock. You should try some.
This LO documents the home arrival of my garage sale recliner. DD and SIL are so awesome.
I needed a card for the next QOTM package I am sending out and this sketch seemed just right!
I used lawn fawn pp and CTMH stamps and bling. you can find the mojo monday blog here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/
Thanks for looking.

I had not done anything really vintage/shabby chic in a while and was aching to do so. Here it is:
I used style board from Maggie Holmes. Some distress stain from Tim Holtz. Kaiserkraft rub on, Heidi Swapp words, Adorn it wooden pieces. Webster's Pages doily. Mother Nature-harmony pp from my frosted designs kit. And some Teresa Collins washi tape. Hope this inspires you to do something vintage too.
Thanks for looking. Comments are always appreciated.

This challenge was to use game pieces. My paw-paw loved to play cards almost more than anything. We indulged him often, because we loved playing with him too. Even his wife joined in sometimes.
This is the card I made for the Anything Goes Challenge at Scrapbook Blessings Club for this week. It is the 5th Sunday so we use past challenges from the last three months. I used Funky, fun, fabulous card folds. And I made a center step card. You can find the directions for the basic center step card here:http://scrapbookblessings.blogspot.com/2013/10/center-step-card.html
The digi stamp I used is from Dasiy a Day digital stamps. Hope you enjoy it and you find some inspiration to do a different card fold yourself.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a Scrapbook Blessings kind of day!
Till next time
